SUP Safety And Gear

Our whitewater boards are all inflatable, specifically designed to use in swift current and made by Hala from Colorado. They are rockered from tip to tail for riding moving water and have retractable center fins in case you should hit the bottom. They are 36” wide making them ultra stable and 9’6” long making them short enough to maneuver quickly. This technology allows us to have the fun factor much higher than on an ordinary SUP.

Its all about the gear

We will provide you with top quality wetsuits or our new Gull drysuits depending on the weather. If its a nice day we often wear just full length wetsuits or a shorty, if its cold and gray a drysuit is a nice luxury. We also provide neoprene booties or water shoes with neoprene socks and gloves if needed. The neoprene wetsuits will keep you warm when wet and the drysuits are meant to keep you dry while wearing layers such as fleece or wool underneath. Helmets, lifejackets and knee pads will also be provided along with drybags for phones if needed. Swift Adventures has all the gear needed to keep you warm and safe on the river.

We have clip-on seats and special paddles that convert into a kayak-style one which allows for easier paddling in windy or rough conditions. These are used on our multi-day or flatwater trips and not so much for river-use but available if needed.
