Punta Mita, Mexico

Swift Adventures spent 12 days in Punta Mita Mexico doing a bunch of paddlesurfing, day sup trips, and eating great food in January 2021 with a group of friends from Girdwood. Punta Mita is an authentic Mexican town where tourism has not quite taken over and is perhaps the paddleboard mecca of Mexico with its protected bays and great mellow waves to play on daily. Many of the beach restaurants have paddleboards inside of them as decorations and you can always see at least a few folks out sweeping the bay on their boards. There is also a SUP rental place right on the beach to grab whatever board suits your fancy. Day trips to local towns of Sayulita, San Pancho and Puerto Vallarta gave us all a great appreciation for the laid back atmosphere of Punta Mita. We even paid a local lobster diver to take us all out for a nighttime excursion to dive for our own lobsters which proved to be way more difficult than it sounded! The accomadations were amazing, with a great location only a block from the beach. Feel free to contact us about other info for visiting this area, highly recommended if you want to SUP in Mexico!
